From the time Joey was a newborn, Neil has always given the girls their baths. Both of their first baths were given by him. Almost every night without fail, he gives our beautiful girls a bath. He has washed them, their hair, their dollies and drawn on the tub almost every night for the last 4 1/2 years. He gets home late, nearly 7:00, almost every night. We have dinner together. Then, off he takes them to the bath...I listen to the giggles, "come on Jo", "wash her first", "I need to kick", etc. with a smile on my face.
I appreciate this so much. After the craziness of the day, it is so nice to know that every night this is taken care of. Most of the time, I am able to get caught up on dishes, do laundry, pick up toys, even play some words on scrabble, or get ready to head off to the gym. Most nights I leave them all cuddled up on the bed, reading stories, to go to the gym. But, to know I have some me time is priceless. I know the girls will always remember their baths with Daddy. What a blessing he is to all of us!
Thanks Neil....I know I don't say it enough.
